Only his eyes did not covered by the powerful self-control. They remained watchful like if they belonging to a wild animal. If they gave out even half of his emotions--
The Charlie's calm voice broke her thoughts.
"I'm finished. When I'll see my father?"

At this moment the phone rang. Mary got up and picked up the phone. She listened for a moment, and then closed the receiver with your palm:
"Mason, it's for you."
He came out of the trance and stood up. Giving it up, Mary whispered: "It's your father."
Mason grimly nodded and pressed the phone to his ear. Mary returned to the table.
"You may go out the table," she said to Charlie, who still sat by the empty plates.
"My father--?"
"Do not worry, you'll see him soon."

"It's California, brother."
"I knew it," the boy blushed, but did not leave the jacket.

"Are we in troubles?" She pointed at Mason's face on the newspaper page.
"Not yet," Mary bit her lip. "But, perhaps, we'll soon."
"Capwells always get out," her sister replied. "They're rich people and have so many connections."
But Mary thought that it's not too comforting her. She felt with her guts that there'll major problems.
