Chapter 29 — Home's Affairs
"I am glad that you agree with me," Dr Lewis shake CC's hand and left. Sophia steadfastly looked at CC.
"CC, what you are going to make?"
"Now I don't sure," he touched his chin as he was in deep of his thoughts.
"I meaning that now you already don't going to demand trusteeship for Chip and Samantha? I think that Mason was just a sort of a knight on a white horse," she smiled. "And you, CC, soon will get one more the grandson."
"Or the granddaughter," CC corrected her. "No recently I don't going to submit on a trusteeship. But what is the mess got involved Mason!"
"I doubt that you would act differently, if you were in his situation."
"If I thought that I lost you... Dammit, I think that I could be! But this does not justify Mason."
"I go to Mary," Sophia was up. "CC, I ask you to be more gently with Mason."
CC shrug by his shoulders.

"Mason, you already near 20 minutes staring at me and be silent. You make me to feel uncomfortable."
"I am sorry," Mason embraced Mary and nestled his chin on her shoulder. "I am sorry; I didn't think that you can feel like unpleasant by my acts." He moves away. "It seems to me that Dr Lewis said you that you need to have a rest."
"Yes, he did," Mary relaxed recline on pillows.
Mason smiled.
"Again you are in my former room, and again you are on my bed."
Mary chortle.
"I never forget the expression of your face, when you saw me then."
"You think that I could forget this? I thought that I am crazy when I saw you and Gina. Side by side."
Mary laughed, and Mason laughed too though be was some sad because his past memory about Gina.
"Lie down and sleep," Mason kiss Mary in her lips and left out the door.
He had no time to make even several steps as met with Sophia.
"Mary needs to have a rest," he informed her sternly. "This was told by Dr Lewis, and I will take care that his instructions were completed."
"OK, I will go to her later. Mason, what are happened with you? Why you are so angry?"
Mason does not answer. He went past his step-mother and step down on the first floor. He wanted to make clear things with CC for all.

The Patriarch of family Capwell was in the study and talked on the phone.
"Yes, Cruz. You correct. How you think how much time it will take? Yes. Well, keep me informed."
CC hanged down and looked Mason who just comes in. Mason squeezed himself up under father's sight.
"We need to talk."
"We need," CC nod and with gesture shown him to sit. Mason shake by his head and leant against a jamb.
"Tell if you have what to tell," CC reclined on back of his armchair.
"I have," Mason looked past his father. "I want to clear the situation. Mary, my children and I arrived to your house temporarily. I could not allow that they were exposed to danger. But as soon as everything will be finished, we again return at home.
"Well," CC linked fingers and looked at Mason. "And if you think that hunt on yours can continue for many years? Mafia, who think that you passed his way, hardly just release you for free live.
Mason turned pale, but answered.
"Yes, I thought about this. But I cannot change anything. And even if I could return in past, I could hardly act differently. But this question is hypothetic. Now here we have another problem. If you want to tell that you give us a shelter on strictly limited term?"
"No. But is very probable that you need to live in this house for enough many time. If you are ready for this?"
Mason moved his sight to CC.
"I love this house," he told bitterly. "And I always loved it. And you always used it, when you wanted hit me more painfully."
"You behaved is inexcusable!" CC jerked up. "And in the last time I did not turn out you! You left by your own wish."
"Yes, I left not waiting while you will point me out."
Mason broken off. He was silent as far as long that CC already wanted something to tell. However Mason nevertheless started talking first.
"Dad, I very love Mary. I can not live without her. And I do not want that the life in your house become for us so insufferable that we need to leave."
"It will not become insufferable, if you will not do it such," CC inclined toward his head. "Mason, what you want?"
"Guarantees," he directly told. "Guarantees that you will not point to us out. On what term you permit to us be here?"
"Mason!"
"What Mason?"
"Mason and what you will to do, if I don't give you any guarantees?"
Mason compressed his teeth.
"We should need to search other safe place for us."
"If you meaning that you are ready to put in a risk Mary's and children's lives?"
"Some of risk here will be in both cases. So you speak "No"?"
"I don't tell this. Mason, why you seem that between us surely will be a conflict?"
"By my experience," he gloomy answered. "Well what is your last word?"
"Yes, live how many as yours want. Mason, do not make a mountain out of a molehill!"
"Don't avoid my question."
"I do not avoid. OK, if you so want... You can live in this house so much as how you will be need. You and rest of your family. You are pleased?"
"No. You guarantee that you will not out us if you find something unpleasantly in me in the next time?"
"Well, all depends from what is you do. If you again will have an affair with Gina--"
"Dad!"
"Or if you do anything like this any my guarantees will not help to you. Or if you will offend Mary, don't wait a kind of mercy from me."
"OK, I agreed."
Mason deeply sighed and lead out the door. But just at the door he stopped.
"Father, what Cruz told to you?"
"He said that tomorrow in the morning they will be ready to take away your papers. Probably, tomorrow everything will be finished."
"Probable," Mason repeated and left the study.
