A Hope Never Dies

Great Thanks to Orly from Israel for her corrections in my english!

"… he owed to die instead of her!"
"She would not have liked it. I let you off, only if you will calm down."
"I am OK, let me off, I am OK."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. All right."
Cruz leads Mason down from the roof…

Chapter 1 — Two hours after

It was impossible to muffle the pain. It simply broke off Mason. Mary. Is. Dead. DEAD.
He felt as if he cracked his head against a wall. He poured himself so much whisky that almost at once he threw up. Totally exhausted with drops of sweat on his forehead and with clear head Mason was walking along the street. After two hundred foots he suddenly realized that he came to his own car at the parking lot. OK, it might just be so! With a sharp rage for the whole world, Mason jumped in the car (he felt dizzy) and drove with big speed.
Damn you, Mark McCormick!

"Eden, where is Mason?"
"I do not know, dad. What is wrong?"
"He is not in his room."
Eden kept silent.
"Eden, do you know where he is?"
"I don't. But he is probably drinking somewhere."
"That would be good, if only that is what he is doing. I don't like the fact that he is not here. I don't like it very much. He shouldn't be alone. He loved Mary very much. It must be very hurtful for him…"
"Yes, it is hurtful for him. And for you too, for all of us, every one of us loved Mary."
