"Dad... Daddy, why you leave? I made something wrong?"
Smile leaving her face.
"Daddy, when you will return? Daddy? Daddy, where are you!?"
The last words were just the sadly cry and Mason pass by his hands on her face.
"Mary! Mary, wake up!"
"What?" Mary opened her eyes and absently looked at him as if she sees through Mason. However in a few seconds her sight becomes normal. "Mason? How long I slept?"
"A few hours."
Mason tries imperceptibly stretching his numb legs, but Mary notes his moving.
"Mason, sitting you here all time while I slept, is you?"
"Well... Yes I do. But you stopped her nightmares," he smiled.
Mary fast moved away and guiltily looks as he stretches himself.
"I am sorry."
"Its OK," he looks at his watch. "First hour after midnight. We are full night-birds both--"
"Mason--"
"What is it, Mary?" Mason instantly worried. If she wants to start talking about Mark again?
But Mary started talking about different things.
"Mason, what we will to do now?"
"What you mean? We will get married. Or you... Want you to think?" with some fear he assumed."
"Of course I don't," Mary smiled. "I do not want to think about. But if you understand, what we can not just get married, while I am considered dead? And what you will tell to your relatives?"
"With today day — that is with yesterday's day — you again are officially accepted in the world alive," Mason looked in her eyes. "Still in Santa Barbara I asked one person to do this, and today while we were in court, he informed me that everything is made. We can get married though now."
"Already? But unless for this purpose my presence, my signature at last is not necessary?"
"No. In our state it is not obligatory. Mary, if you are unpleasant that I made this?"
"Of course I am not. I have no any wish to pass this procedure."
"I am glad. And if we both unable to fall asleep now, let's go in a night cafe? And I got hungry," guilty smiled Mason.
"Let's go," Mary laughed, and they left.

"In this house," CC expressively led round by his hand the huge living room, "is hardly. But kitty, why you do not want to tell, where is now Mason and who is his enemy?"
"Because I vowed that I don't."
"To whom? To Mason?"
"No. But this is unimportant. The main here that I promised."
"Kelly, we want to help Mason," Cruz interrupted. "Or you do think otherwise?"
"Of course I don't."
"Then tell us. Without details, just the main core. Who is Mason's enemy?"
Kelly becomes unsteady.
"I think... I think that he is Mark," she surrendered at last.
"What is Mark?"
"Mark McCormick."
"McCormick? But why? He left from the city long time ago."
"I do not know. I know only that Mason gone in Las Vegas to be seeing him."
"Kelly, are you seriously?"
"Yes. And you know what I think? That the Mason's ex-car, which I taken and it later was blown up, was detonated by him too."
"But for what he can do this? Really he wants to revenge Mason after all passed time? I do not believe that Mason can to contact with this crazy man again."
At the moment phone-call was interrupted him. CC picks up the receiver.
"CC Capwell. Yes. Yes, he is my son. No, you cannot communicate him. He is out of the city. What?" he sharply turned back and shocked look at others. "Seriously? Yes, I understood. Not, there anybody was. Thanks.
He hanged up and spoken by complete silence of others:
"It was Mason's house owner. His apartment had the explosion. They wanted to know whether there was no anyone--"
"My God!" exclaim Kelly. "Cruz, Thank God that you came in time! I still was there together with the children if you don't!"
