Chapter 36 — They Leave
"Mason, stop the car, please," asked Mary when they reach a halfway to Capwells house.
"What is matter? Something wrong?" Mason has stopped at a side of road.
"No, exactly... I am OK. Just..."
Mason silently waits.
"I would not like to come back in your father's house," she said after a short pause.
"Why?" Mason inclined his head.
"There are many people. And everyone look at me as if I was a kind of a ghost. And I want be with you. Together and alone," Mary guiltily smiled.
"I want the same," Mason sincerely answered and smiled too. "Well, if you do not want going back in my father's house, where is you want?"
"No matter, if only I will with you and without any strangers."
"Well--" Mason hesitated. "Well, probably, we need be better to go to Tahoe. My father has the small bungalow in the very beautiful place here. Besides there we will can able to live be rather lonely and without risk of boring visits of neighbors as there are no inhabited quarters, but is of a little bit tourist centers. And the service can be ordered. What you feel about?"
"It is wonderful!" Mary happy smiling and hugged him. "Thank you so much!" she gave a kiss him in his cheek.
Mason smiled and embraced her too. He feel himself so good as never felt before.

"CC, the call for you."
"Thank you, Rosa. Hello! CC Capwell. Who is it?"
"Father, it's me."
"Mason? What is matter?"
"I and Mary decided have some time together. I calling because I don't want to you will search for me in all states, and also I need to ask to collect children's stuff. I will pick up for Chip and Samantha--"
"No, you don't!" CC jumped up. "You'll take away my grandsons nowhere! They are absolutely babies yet, and you will not have even the maid there!"
"If you want to tell what you can will take care about them? Oh I am sorry, surely not you. Tell Rosa that Chip need be first one for napping because in the case Sammi falls asleep quicker."

Mason hangs down, leave the father be in a rage alone with his dead phone, and he was turned to Mary. His face expressed the highest degree of pleasure.
Mary condemnation looked at him.
"What is wrong? Even of you can have normal relations with him, I can not," Mason still smiled. "And what is wrong with my asking?"
"Mason, Mason--"
"Yes, I am Mason. I am one, who makes so many nonsense and just crazy love you. You and our soon-be-baby. Mary, what is wrong?"
"I... I do not know. Suddenly it seems to me that we aren't alone."
"Surely we are alone!"
"I know, but your words make up in me some memories--" Mary frown vainly trying to understand, what it was.
"It has connecting with your father?" Mason finally risked bringing up the question.
Mary surprised look at him and then nod.
"Yes. How you can guess something like this?"
"It seems to me long time ago that you think about him more than you speak," Mason admitted. "And there was this meeting with the person on the cemetery. I know that it was excited for you."
"You know me so good that it is starting to look as almost scared thing;" Mary's words sounded so as if they were not the full joke.
"It not scared thing, it is a good thing," Mason smiled again. "And when he will start to move?" he sharply replaced the subject of their talking.
"May be not he, but she," Mary reminded. "Not it will happened is not soon yet. After few months."
"Too long," Mason disappoint looked at her. "Well, now we need to arrange our stuff here and then we will sitting at the fireplace and enjoy. Do you agree?"
"Sure!" Mary's up, approached to him, and gave a quick kiss in his cheek and go to unpacking their bags.
