Chapter 44 — Too Much Shocking Things
The silence keeping for a few minutes while both sides collecting self's after the shock.
"Mason, you already arrived!" Kelly says it because she cannot think cleverer words then these.
"As you can see," Mason smiled and embracing Mary for her shoulders leads her into the house. "Hello, Teddy! I am glad that you finally deign to honor us with your presence."
"What is this?!" Ted uttered at last continuing eating Mary with his eyes.
"Not what, but who," Mason offended. "Brother, really don't you know who is she?"
"I do know i.e. I did know--"
"I just didn't die then; I was in the hospital and remember nothing about my past. Later Mason found me," Mary becomes boring this exchange and she decided to explain all in the one sentence.
"My God!" Ted exhaled.
"Mason, where you were? Since yesterday I am trying to reach you!" Kelly interfered inconsiderately.
"So you knew about???" Ted opened his mouth from a surprise for the second time for five minutes.
"We did stay in the cabin around Tahoe," Mason ignored his younger brother. "And what is happened?"
"Don't you know?"
"I do not know what?" Mason stopped to smile and worried looked at Kelly. "Eden--"
"I am alive, Mason," sounded from the open entrance door.
Mason stunned. After a few seconds of shock he slowly turned and with widely opened eyes looked to Capwell's entrance door. Eden in her wheelchair looked at him and smiled.
"I died and now in paradise?" Mason finally said. He walking, squeal near his sister's wheelchair and take her hand. The hand felt not ghostly — it was completed alive and warm.
"You are alive!" he pulled out. Eden laughed.
Mason embraced her for her shoulders and then taken away.
"I do not believe to my eyes!"
"I am too!" Eden suddenly told. She looked at Mary and is unable to take away the sight.
"We both are in the same boat, Eden," Mary smiling from ear to ear. "You and me seems are ghosts in some way. But I am very glad to see you!"
"Mary, I go away," Christie come to her sister and looked at it from below upwards. "Be happy!"
"You don't yet, wait!" Ted doesn't let her to leave out and force to stop at the door. "I want to talk you. I need to know, what is happened here!"
"I will call you later," Christie slip out and disappeared out of the door.
"What you doing here?" everybody suddenly heard CC's angry voice. "Eden is not yet healthy, she don't let be worried!
The Capwell children and Mary afraid look at Eden and against each other and then start to chuckle.
"What is funny?" CC upset said.

In the evening has been the celebrating of returning Eden. It made some sad only two things: that she did not want to see Cruz and was suppressed by the fact that according everybody doctors she is unable to walk forever.
When celebrating reaching to its second half, Mason and Mary, unknown for the rest family, slip out and upstairs to Mason's room.
"I feel myself uncomfortable for leaving from Eden's celebrating, but I just drop from tiredness," Mary complained, leaning back of pillows.
"Surely she doesn't take offence," Mason lied down beside her and crosses his fingers with her. "I saw how she was suspicious for the fact that you don't drink. Probably she already thinking that we are not two, but almost three."
"It is bad?" Mary looked into his eyes. "Do you not want that even your family to know about my pregnancy?"
"No, of course. I am just overprotecting and am afraid for you. I want the baby very much. Your baby!"
"And how are doing Chip and Sammy?" Mary asked.
"They become missed me," Mason guilty said. "And I am too. But it's OK, we quickly make up all missed time."
"Yes, I sure," Mary drowsily answered. "You are the good father, Mason."
"I am," he agreed without over-modesty. "And I will become a good father for our baby boy. Or baby girl."
After no answer from Mary, he looked at her and seen that she is deep sleeping. Mason smiles and closed his eyes too. It's feeling good, even despite all possible dangers for Mary and their soon-be baby.
