Chapter 56 — The Payoff Already Is Enough Close
"Are you crazy?" Mason jumps up. "It cannot be your fault!"
"Mason, Uncle Larry... he take care about me with the way."
"It's impossible foolishness!"
"Mason, I am serious! By the phone, that person said that he wants I am being well. The most sure he was my uncle Larry! He considers that for me become well if you will dead!"
"Mary, how you dare even think this! You are not charge of fantasies of crazy people."
"But if he takes care about me--"
"No matters. For his own action answers only he himself," Mason embraced her. "Do not worry, it'll be all right." He kissed Mary, and she answered him. "I love you," she whispered.
At the moment, they heard Theda's voice: "Mary, my girl, where are you?"
"Let's go," Mary sighed. "Already getting late, but we else must find the lair of my crazy uncle."
They are going downstairs, say good-bye to disappointing Theda, who was longing fill in them her memories about her adolescence, and come in the car after some with precautions. Having driving off little from Theda's house, Mary stopped the car and turned her head to the back sitting.
"Lets up, here nobody able to identify you."
Mason sat up.
"Where you are going to search for Larry? May be let's go to my father's house and postpone the action?"
"If you want I can drop in you," Mary replied. "However, I cannot stay in Capwell's house now. I need to find my younger sister."
"I do not leave you," Mason upset looked. "Who am I do you think? However, I am worry about you and our baby."
"We will be OK, but I don't sure about Christie... Well, we must to stop to waste our time. Let's act."
"Nevertheless, what you going to do? How you want to find your uncle?"
"I think I know the one way."
Mason interrogative looked at her. "Keith Timmons."
For a few moments, Mason stunned, but then grins.
"Hardly you'll able get something."
"You see," Mary replies and drive on.

Surely, Keith Timmons want to tell nothing. Moreover, he is going to tell nothing. He even is going to let in Mary for talking. However, as soon as she mentions the name of Lawrence Duvall, his eyes become running and lips become compressing.
"He is my uncle," Mary states and closely looks at D.A. "He sent me messages for long time ago because he wants to see me, but I learned this just now."
"Miss Duvall, but I have no idea--"
"His last message indicated that you should report me his address."
"He did not ask me about."
"But do you know his address?"
"I did not tell that."
"But you do know.
Timmons was silent, but then threw in: "My secretary will give it to you. And now good-bye."
I hope we never again see each other, he silently added when for Mary was come out. Though I am lucky that she remembered about his address' missing. If Larry heard...

15 minutes later Mary comes back in the car with the address in her hand. She heard the breath of the relief from the back sitting.
"Well, finally! I already thought that I need to go and rescue you from Timmons' hands."
"I got the address!"
"Really?! Show me!" Mason reaches out from his sitting, but Mary takes away him back.
"Not here. Mason, everyone can recognize you! It will ruin all our plans."
Mason moans.
"Dammit why I decide to pretend be dead now!"
Finally, they drive off from high traffic's part of the city, and Mary allows Mason to sit up. He switches out her hand the paper with the address and then surprised say: "One of richest districts as Montecito."
"It makes our case even simpler," Mary drives in.
Mason looks at rear-view and meets with Mary's eyes. Her tensed face shortly is relaxed, and she is smiling. Mason leans on the back of the sitting and closed eyes. Very soon they will see the person, who so longing to destroy their family. Can they be able to cope with?
He had not the answer. He only hoped and prayed since he knew that he could not able to live without Mary. He cannot lose her in the second time. He does not allow this.
