Chapter 65 — Attorneys And Judas
There was already late evening when Mary and Mason finally been able take breath after the final portion of the congratulations and solemn evening in honor of their return. Mason was not too complacent prospect else week to live in his father's house, but repair in his apartment was delayed and their moving in was too early yet.
"Mary, are you tired?" Mason careful asked. He saw that Mary feeble lean on back of the easy chair.
"I did!" she smiled and stretched. "But it's been a deal."
Then she stands up from her chair, sits down near him on the bed and easy pulled him by his half unlaced tie.
"Did make you be married, Mr. Capwell?"
"Don't say that," Mason agreed. "Mason Capwell is married?"
"What the loss for society!" Mary played and giggles.
"But may be and that loss is not completed--" Mason pulled and one eye has looked at wife.
"Completed. For them," Mary unexpectedly seriously said. "And the acquisition for me."
"Are you sure?" Mason asked seriously in the same way. However, it cannot stop him from beginning to kiss Mary in neck.
"Absolutely," Mary blessed curled. "The purchase with a mark of quality."
At the moment she felt how something pushed inside her. As if there is a riding fish.
"Mary?" she heard Mason's alarmed voice.
"Wait!" she pressed her palm to her tummy.
"What, Mary? It's baby?"
"Yes, wait! Here!" she smiled. "Touch it."
She put his hand on her tummy. Mason also feels the moving inside and halfhearted looked at Mary.
"Our baby," she tenderly said. "It's our baby."
"I love you," Mason cannot help but look at Mary. "You are a miracle. You both are two my miracles."
"I love you too..."

The following day, Mary remained at home to unpack out the belongings and gift, but Mason finally went to office to take his huge paperwork after so his long absence.
Analyzing papers, he thought for a moment that if there was other person, not from Capwells, he might be already fired for so long vacation. "Must be although some advantage for me from belonging to Capwell's family," he thought.
The patter is sounded at the moment.
"Come in."
The colleague attorney Robin Sanders peeks in Mason's Office.
"Hi Rob! What are you doing here?"
"I just heard that you finally appeared here and want to say hi."
Sanders was not only Mason's colleague on the law company, but also its co-owner. Mason feels tensed. May be I overvalued the influence of Capwells? Flashed in his mind.
"How's your honeymoon?" Sanders asked. "Hawaii?"
"No, Paris. We had a great time, thank you."
What the hell? Earlier Sanders never was interested by private lives people with whom he has worked!
"Any problems?" Mason said trying seeming carefree.
"Mine? No, just a kind of rat race... But here is... Mason."
"Yes?"
"As far I understand as you already make a peace with your father?"
"What?" shocked Mason almost let down the file that he had in his hand.
"Well, I just thought--"
"Wait, about what you talk?" Mason comes close to him.
"Mason, I am aware of the lawsuit which gave by your father," he finally said. "And I did not want that our company turned out to be mixed up the suit against one from our attorneys."
"What is the suit?" Mason turned pale. What the blow was prepared by his father?
"Don't you know? Sorry, seems to me, I interfered in the private family deal--"
"What is the suit?" Mason repeated. He was covered by the heavy presentiment.
"About the guardianship."
The shock turned out to be so big that Mason even rocked.
"My father... filed the suit... to be the legal guardian over my children?" Mason said slowly how he is not believed in his own words. "Is it correct?"
"He did not file, but only hired lawyers who prepared the papers. But then reject his already completed package. It was the cause that I decide that you and he make a peace. Is it not right? Do you'll have the suit about the guardianship?"
"No, I'll not," Mason called back. "And there will not be any deal about guardianship. However when it's happened?"
"Seems in summer. No, in September. I had the case of Briker-Stone, and I decided--"
"There'll not the deal on guardianship," Mason firmly said. The anger flamed up in him with tripled power. "I'm needed to go; tomorrow I'll finish it. No matter, here I have the paper working for weeks," he nodded on the heap of unlooked papers. "You know where exit is," he nodded to the attorney and rush out the office.
No more even a minute he'll remain in father's house. No way!

Mary finalized to unpacking their family things, when Mason run in the room.
"Mary, packing up! We'll move in the hotel!" he breathes out. His face was drawn with pain and fury.
"Mason, what is happened?" Mary was afraid, she never saw Mason in such condition.
"We'll leave! And just now! I do not want even a minute more to breathe the same air with the person!"
"With who?" Mary asked, already guessing whom he is meaning.
"With the man who I have misfortune to consider as my father! He wanted to take my children, Mary! O Gosh, he wanted to take away Chip and Samantha from me!"
Shocked Mary wanted to question Mason, but then just come close and embraced him. From Mason feels waves of pains and horror from the betrayal his father...
