Mason was so nerved that already after a few minutes getting free from Mary's hands he start to passing around the room.
"Are you sure... in your own words?" Mary halfhearted asked. She cannot believe that CC may be so cruelly.
"I am sure," Mason stopped just before her. "He did the pack of documents for sue me." Mason clench his teethes and became to huddle the belongings back in bags.
"Mason, wait," Mary walks close him and pulled out from his hands her robe that Mason trying to dent in the open sport case. "Calm down, please!"
"Calm down?! Did you even hear me? My father--"
"I did. But you said this like it was happened in past time. Is it meaning CC is giving in?"
"Yes," he breathes out. "It's happened in September," He looks directly in her face.
"Do you want to say... when you found me?"
"Exactly. Now you are understood? He... he... offered me to go out for a vacation! But he became to prepare the suit about trusteeship on Chip and Samantha!"
"CC could not do this," Mary firmly said. "I don't believe it."
"Come to believe," Mason gravely sighs and turn away. "Since all were exactly like I said."
"No, wait... but it's September, but August after all."
"What?"
"Your vacation. I did reach you at August 26. I exactly remember it because Mark had the wall calendar."
"And?"
"But that we returned in Santa-Barbara at the beginning August. Why CC did not become to sue then? If he wanted, he already has a time to do this."
"What you want to say?"
"Just that your father did not came to blow you from the corner. Remember," Mary turned his face to her face. "As soon as we arrived in Santa Barbara, in your apartment occurred the blast. In the same day. Early we did leave and handed the children to Kelly. Probably, your father wrongly interpreted the events. He not knows that you need to do this because of me..."
Mason bitten his lower lip and looks at Mary's eyes. Then he silently takes the phone and dials the number.
"Robin? I am sorry for interrupting. Yes, It's OK. Do you can give more details of something for me? About the pack of papers of my father. For that sue. Yes, I understand. No, I am interesting in dates. When it's happened? Yes. Seventh? It's exactly? Well, I am waiting. Yes. Yes. Well, thank you. I understood. Yes, I am OK. Bye." Mason placed down the receiver.
"Well?"
"Seems you are right. My father order to pack the documents at September 7, at 10th they were already ready, but instead of information about the suing he declared that papers already does not need. It's been at 11th. But at 10th I with you arrived in Santa Barbara--"
"Mason, your father is not monster--" Mary embraced him again. "But you are right too; we'll better to leave away now. Otherwise you and CC may be too hurt to each other." She weakly smiled: "We'll better to live apart."
Mason stood a few minutes more, hugging his lovely wife, but then kissed her in lips, and they begun to packing the rest of the belongings. It's whole hour. However when Mason began to brings the belongings downstairs and to his car he was seen by alarmed Rose.
"Mason, what is happened? Do you leaving? What is wrong?"
"Just I decide that we'll better not remain to live here."
"It's strange, earlier you got ready to sell your soul for more one minute of staying here," they heard CC's voice.
Mason immediately tensed being ready to fight. Mary found his hand and calmly pressed it.
"Earlier I or Mary had not," Mason stated and take the handle of the next bag. "Your power over me now become weakened, father. It's time to you to get in this."
He dragged out the bag, but CC asked Mary "Why he is so upset? What is happened?"
"He heard that you gave on trusteeship on Chip and Samantha," Mary paused. "I'll not comment your decision, but we'll really better to leave out. Probably, we're already trying your patience for too long time."
"Mary, I can explain--"
"It's not necessary, CC. I believe that you did not want to hurt Mason."
"All of I wanted it's protected my own grandsons!"
"Mary, there are remained only one bag. The children already in the car," Mason went by them upstairs and after a minute came down back with bag in his hand. "Let's go," he takes Mary's hand.
"Thank you that you given us sanctum, CC," Mary said and follows Mason.
When they were slammed door, Sophia comes to CC. She's stood not far away for all time, but she did not interfering in the conflict.
"Do not start it!"
"Mason is changed, CC. I don't think that now he'll allow you to address with him as you did earlier."
CC does not find words to answer. He saw that rules of the game are changed. And it's changed not in his profit.
