Chapter 69 — The Attempt Number Two

Surely Christie was delighted with her sister's offer. And she expressed her full readiness to begin to working at the point that Mary gladly agreed. After having convinced (and even having envied her own for some reason) that Christie can cope with both children, Mary leave out to her regular check-up in the hospital.
Soon after her leaving out the hotel room's door was knocked.
"Don't worry, we'll OK," Christie said when she's opening the door, but it's not Mary. It's Lawrence Duvall.
"Get out!" Christie tried to slam the door, he quickly put his foot in the aperture and not allowed to it to be closed.
"I'll call to hotel security!" Christie rushed to the phone and pressed the button. "I'm calling from 3476 room, send here--" it's Uncle Larry who pressed the candle on the telephone, finished her speaking. "All of them will here any minute!"
"Calm down, please!"
"Get out! I hate you!"
"Christie, listen, I am not your enemy!"
"The enemy! You nearly killed Mason, and Mary cannot live without him."
"You are too young, you do not understand--"
"I perfectly understand. Also I hope that I never see you again!
The room's door is knocked.
"Mr. Capwell, its hotel security! Do you need any help?"
"Yes," Christie cried. "The man came in and he doesn't want to leave out!
The door swung open, and security guards run in the room.
"I ask you to leave the hotel," one of them sharply told, addressing to Uncle Larry.
"I'm her uncle--" he haughty begun, but the chief guards repeated the request and added: "Do not force us to call in police, sir.
Larry can do nothing how to obey. However on the threshold he turned back and impressively told: "I still will return."
Christie kept silent, but as soon as the door closed behind Uncle Larry, she begins to cry. How he dares to chase them like this! Finally having calmed down she resolutely takes the phone's receiver...

"CC, you need to go to Mason!"
"I am not going to apologize! I didn't any bad things to him; I just wished to protect the grandsons, Sophia!"
"I know. But your methods led to the opposite result. Are you really wants that Mason don't allow you to see his children?"
"Let's he just try!
In Capwell's living room comes the pause.
"May be your wars have been stopped in some day?" Sophia said and sad looking at CC. "Sometimes I start to think that Mason is right and you really hate him more than you love."
"You always took the side of my son, God knows why!" he sniffed, cooling down. "OK, I'll try to talk to him. Only I clearly know that it'll give nothing good. My son is hopeless!

Christie's call found Mason in the break between court sessions. The legal office where he worked is not wished that he finished his paperwork in the office and sent him on the front line — to the hall of judicial sessions. After having listened the all story of their new babysitter Mason scolded her that she opened the door without asking who is, and make to promise her don't let in any unexpected visitors. With the sigh he hung up the phone and deeply thought how they can calm down their new relative. After having dialed number of his apartment, he heard the report of a repair brigade that the apartment will be ready in two days as maximum and decides that they'll not be hurry. Christie get the good lesson, and now she will not allow him go in ... But later the problem is need be solved, opposite they again will appear in a siege that hardly not worse than that they're left recently. Lawrence Duvall was obviously stubborn and did not accept refusals.

Christie well-knowingly fed kids, alternating spoons with children's food for one to other of them when the door loudly knocked again.
"Who is here?" She asked, not coming off.
"CC Capwell!"
"I don't buy this, uncle!" Christie sprat because CC's voice seemed to her is very much like to Larry's voice.
"I am not your uncle! I'm owner of this hotel! Who am I talking? Where is my son?"
"I'm Christie, Mary's sister," Christie slightly scared when she realizing that CC stay actually outside the door. "Neither Mason, nor Mary is here, I babysitting with Chip and Sammi."
"Open the door now!"
"Mason told that I couldn't let in anybody without the preliminary arrangement."
"Mason can go hell! I told to open!"
"What is happens here?" ask Mary who is just back from the doctor's appointment.
"Your sister does not let in me to see my own grandsons!"
Mary's eyes are wide open, and then she shrugged shoulders and opened the door with her key. Christie had on hands Chip who was soiled by apple mashed. Having seen her sister she put down the boy in the one of just delivered children's beds, and then briefly told Mary and CC about the happened. CC attentively listened her story, holding on hands sleepy Samantha.
"... And then I called Mason, and he told, that I'd let in nobody. Here I just followed his instructions. Eventually he is the person who pays me!"
"I named myself!" CC upset said. "I can understand that you have been frightened, but I'm Mason's father!"
"I cannot see though the door," Christie replied. "And your voice seemed to me similar to Uncle Larry's voice. Firstly."
"All right, all is good that well comes to the end," Mary concluded and after taking Sammi away CC she put her in the one of children's beds. "CC, are you wished to talk to Mason? He'll in court until late evening." And having turned back to Christie she added: "Chris, your working is finished for today. Tomorrow come to 9 am, OK?"
"Sure," Christie agreed and after waved with Mary and CC she disappeared behind the door.
When the door is closed behind Christie, CC turned to Mary: "Yes, I wished to talk to Mason, but I do with you too."
"OK. Though I am not sure that we can understand each other."
"We will try," CC smiled for the first time for all conversation. "We are the one big family after all."
