Together and Forever

Chapter 84 — Only Three Words

Mary and Mason are driving back home. Mary with pleasure relaxed on the back seating, absently stroking her already appreciable tummy, and Mason confidently driving and whistling."
"Mason," Mary suddenly remembered. "Who is Chris Rock?"
Surprised Mason even turned the wheel to a wrong side.
He confusedly asked: "How you did know about him?"
"I did not know. It's why I'm asking you."
"I mean where you heard this name?"
"You repeated it as you'd slept. It seems to me that he's very important person for you." Mason kept silent.
"Mason."
The silence.
"Do you do not want to answer?"
"I probably have nothing to answer," Mason finally said. "He's never existed."
"But you have a dream about him."
"I have dreams about many things. Look, we already almost reached," he said and changed the subject.
Mary alarmed looks at her husband. It was a bad sign that he does not want to tell. It's means that the person Chris somehow deeply touched Mason. She decided to wait. Her experience has showed that if Mason was worried about something, later the truth is up, no matter of their wishes.
The evening is passed easy, children were almost angels, and Mason's winning of the trial supplemented their high spirits.
"I already made a reservation for tomorrow with a little table in the nice coast restaurant," Mason informed her, collecting the working papers in the case.
"Thanks, but my husband and me already have our own plans," Mary importantly answered. Mason reproachfully looked at her and flashed with sparkle in his eyes.
"I think that your husband will not be protesting, Mrs. Capwell," he told. "But I'll teach him a lesson if he'll. As a man to a man," Mason significantly bent his hand, showing his muscles.
"You are so brave, Mr. Capwell," Mary batting eyelids and then burst out laughing. "Mason, you're driving me crazy!"
"The first step was yours! Do you think that I was too pleasant to listen that my own wife goes with another's husband to restaurant?"
"OK, I am very sorry and regret! Do you'll forgive me?"
"If I will receive something from you."
"Is it?" Mary kissed him in lips.
"It seems. But I don't' sure about it. I can get more, please?"
"You can...
Soon enough kisses become embraces, and embraces in caressed touches. The magnificent night began...

The next day comes very soon.
The lunch in the restaurant was just perfect. Mary and Mason enjoyed by the company of each other, it seems to them that they are alone in the whole world. They did not notice the sights that directed to them and whisperings of other visitors. They did not see how people are smiling as they looking at Mason and Mary. They saw nobody, except each others.
"You know, now it seems me that there was nothing earlier--" Mary said drinking the nonalcoholic champagne."
"Nothing?" Mason could not take away eyes from Mary.
"Our past. Its have too many... many things, good and bad. I feel myself like a girl at first date," she some confusedly admitted.
"It enough often have happened with me when I feel myself near you as if I'm still a teenager," Mason grinned. "And now I do. It's some silly feeling, yes?"
"A little bit. But it's more enjoying. Being carefree."
"At dates girls are always carefree, but boys have full hands."
"Mason!" Mary turned pink.
"The date with my own wife," Mason gave a wide smile. "How I deeply fallen down!"
"Or how highly flied up!"
"You are right," Mason took her hand and kissed. "I flied up when I firstly saw you, and I can not go down on the earth in any way."
"Mason... Do you love me?"
"More than my life."
"Do you love?"
"I love so much...

When they came back home, they got a kind of shock when they entered in the apartment. The sea of flowers. They were everywhere; it seems that someone bought up the whole flower shop.
"Mason, what is it? Who sent them? It's cannot be--" she not finished speaking, but Mason realized that she tells about her uncle.
"I hope that it's not him," he gloomy responded. And he began to search for the card of the sender as Mary already starts to do the same thing. It appeared be hardly, considering quantity of flowers, but finally the card was up. Mason read it and lingeringly given a whistle.
"Who is it?" Mary tensely asked.
"The soon-be husband of my younger sister," Mason looked at her with shining eyes. "It's Cruz. My God, Mary, what you did with him?"
"Nothing," Mary could not hide her smile. "But Eden, probably, thought over my words, and made both of them happy."
"I'm becoming to be scared," Mason indeed looked at her with sacred horror. "You decide our destinies by one easy movement of your hand. Like you became the envoy of Gods--"
"No, Mason. Just I am very lucky girl and I want that everyone be happy--"
"I love you, Mary. I. Love. You."
