Chapter 85 — Good News
Mary doesn't forget about Mason's unusually strong reaction to the name that he was said in dreaming. In the next night he murmured it again. It's not like a nightmare, but like if he disputes or talks with someone. Mary cannot help but wonder who the person for Mason was. It's strange that he told that such person never existed. He means it or he lie her? For a little reason? Or he covered some more serious?
Her reasoning was interrupted by Samantha who with sniper accuracy sends the handful of the peach sauce directly in Mary's mouth. Mary choked while Mason giggling. But he should not do like that because the next portion caught him. And at time the toddler was not too exact that caused the sauce landed to Mason's shoulder.
"Dammit!" he jumps up, wiping the paste on his suit.
"It's because you dared to giggle," Mary swallowed a part of the peach sauce. "Your daughter just revenged for me."
"Then why you become her first victim?"
"She just wished to give me some peach sauce, that's all."
Mason moves his sight with his wife to his daughter who excitedly listen their conversation. Then he looked at his son and hardly had time to stop his palm that was full of banana sauce.
"Don't even dare!" Mason pulled out the son from his highchair and put down in the arena. Chip gave thoughtfully look up and start to whimpering.
"Now you'll get a company," Mary said, wiping Sammi's face and pulling out her from her highchair. "Mason, I think that you really need a good shower."
"I'm late," he complained, removing his jacket as he's walking to the bath. "I really need have breakfast before all of yours if I want not to be smelling of fruits in the courtroom."
"I doubt that it'll help you to avoid the following peach attack," Mary said to the closing door of the bathroom. She decided that Chris Rock's subject will wait. They still have the whole life to learn each other.

Right after Mason's leaving, in the apartment came in cheerful Christie and informed that Jimmy become interested by one small magazine which promised to pay for a series of themed photos. Mary was glad about it and already going to go to walk together with her sister and children as the phone is ring. It's Rosa who was under Eden's request who asked Mary to visit her. Mary left children with disappointed Christie and drive to Capwell's. She was worried.
Coming in Capwell's house she bumps to CC.
"Mary, you are perfectly looking!" he smiled. "How feeling himself my soon-be grandson?"
"Fine, thank you. Though "he" still may be found out as your granddaughter."
"Mason thinks the same thing?"
"Unlucky, no. He firmly convinced that we'll have the boy like you do."
CC frowned, but his eyes flashed with laughter sparks.
"I wonder, who is right — you or we?" he said. "May be for the first time Mason and me will appear on one party."
"The time will show, CC."
CC left out, and Mary's going to Eden who was in her room and looked very nervous.
"Mary, I'm very glad that you got some time to visit me!"
"Eden, what is happens? Something serious?"
"Yes. No. Lock the door, please, and I'll tell you."
When Mary satisfied her request, Eden finally started talking: "Mary, it seems that I start to feel the feet."
Mary's heart skips a beat.
"Really?!"
"Yes. But I do not know that it means. And I am afraid to hope."
"But I'm not the doctor."
"I know. But you can find the good doctor who could give answers to my questions."
Mary shifted eyebrows.
"But why you do not wish to tell to your father or Cruz? As far I see as you said them nothing, right?"
"No one word. Also I ask you tell nobody. Even to Mason."
Mary hesitates, but then nodded. Mason would understand.
"All right. But why, Eden?"
"Because they will rise up unnecessary hopes to me. And if my condition becomes worse, not better? When all of them keep saying that I'll be fine while I know how a little hope that I have... Even without I'm afraid like a hell."
"Well, I guess that you know better. OK, I'll contact doctors whom I am known and later arrange the survey for you."
"Thank you!" Eden smiled for first time of the whole talking. "I knew that I can depend upon you. I'm very glad to have closely the person who doesn't try to over persuade you in your decision."
"I had Mason that to be trained," Mary laughed. "To over persuade him may be too expensive."
"No," Eden seriously told. "It's not Mason. It's you."
"Perhaps," Mary admitted, but her words sounded with obvious doubt. "Though Mason's character promoted it also."
"Perhaps," Eden told, and both of them laughed.
