Chapter 91 — Bitter Joy
There are passed a few days, but Mary and Mason feel some tense in the air. Both tried to convince their self that changed nothing, but gradually they began to keep away from each other. In addition Mary still worried for Eden. She so much want that Eden became better!
At the end of fourth day she finally got so the long-awaited call. Its early morning and Mary runs to phone that don't cover from Mason who collected papers for the next judicial session. He cannot help, but began to listen her talking.
"Mary, its Eden."
"Well, how are you?"
"I'm fine, it's much better than I thought.
Mary sighed with relief. "I'm glad," she shot a look at Mason. He pretended that don't noticed it.
"Mary, I would like that you and Mason come tonight here. In my father's house, six o'clock," Eden pointed. "I want to make the announcement."
"Really?" Mary smiled. Mason was surprised to see her smile.
"Actually. So you will come?"
"Even if I should drag Mason for the neck."
Eden laughed and hanged up.
Mary turned to Mason. He pretended that cannot find one of all documents.
"Mason, Eden asking us to come to Capwell's house." Mason lifted his eyebrow. "She wants to inform all family about some important stuff."
"Really? I hope that it not something bad," he said. "Or she wishes to declare her engagement with Cruz?"
"Probably."
"Do you aware what she wishes to say?"
"Mason, you are late. Look at watch."
"You do not answer my question."
"Mason, I do not know," Mary gagged said and thought "though I guess". "Now you are happy?"
"Yes," Mason answered, but his heart felt insult. He did not think that Mary lies. No. But he knew that something is up. And she hid something from him.

All way to Capwell's house Mason and Mary drive in full silence. Mary hoped that soon their unbearable innuendo will end. She wants that they could return to their normal relations which they had before. She wishes that Mason don't internally take away from her all of time and she can stop think about her possible let out.
In CC's house everybody very soon pay attention to Mason and Mary's tensed relations. All of them, except Eden who has been concentrated to her soon-be message to relatives. And finally there come the true moment.
"I asked to come all of yours because I have some news. Though I'll better show it." With these words Eden perched her hands to armrests of her wheelchair and... risen up on feet. She still kept herself on hands, but only for balance. Her feet strong stood on the wheelchair's step.
Capwells look at her in the shock. Being the closest person to Eden, Cruz cautiously walks around Eden, wishing to convince that here are no dodges. Then he smiled, finally believes in her healing, and embraced Eden.
"It's just a miracle!" Kelly excited and hastened to embrace her sister.
Relatives surrounded Eden covering her with congratulations and inquiries.
"Doctors say that I'll have full recovering," Eden informed shining with happiness. "They don't sure about its cause but say that my illness doesn't back any more."
"I just cannot believe it," Sophia exclaimed. "Sweetie, I am too happy to hear it!
Mason embraced sister also, thanking God for favor to his little sister. But when his sight falls to Mary's face, he felt a kind of shock. She smiled, but she did not look surprised. Did she know???
Mason let out Eden from his hands and comes to Mary.
"Did you know about?" he asked, do not paying attention that all sights turned in them. "Did you know that Eden becomes better?"
Mary, who becomes puzzled during the first moment, quickly collected herself.
"Yes, I did," she easy said. "Under Eden's request I found the doctor who could check up her suspicions and do tests."
Mason felt betrayed. Eden was his sister. He should know what is up.
"Mason, I asked Mary to say it nobody," Eden's voice was worried. "Do not be angry to her."
"I do not angry--" his own voice seemed to Mason as stranger's one. "I am just... I'll go," he said and almost run out the house of the father. He was hurt and appalled as if all of them rejected him. Everyone including Mary."
"I'll go for him. Excuse me," Mary quickly said and followed Mason. She did not regret that she helped Eden but she felt that this secret did hurt Mason. Also she realized that his pain is connected more with his past than with present and then even with Eden.
