However, Mason saw Mary once more.
In February 1989, at Gina and Mason wedding day, Mason was shot in the chest by the mafioso and fell into coma. His soul left his body and went to the Heaven.

| After meeting the God and discussing all Mason's sins he was granted the opportunity of seeing Mary. |

| Mason and Mary declare love to each other. |
|
|
| And Mason, who earlier wanted to go back to the Earth, to Julia and his daughter Samantha, now is seeking any opportunity to stay in the Heaven. With Mary. |

| She explains that it is not so easy. He must deserve staying in the Heaven. He has to think about his life and correct his mistakes. |

|
| Mason learns that Mary became his guardian angel and she knows everything that happened to him after her death. |
|
|
| He asks her to go the Earth with him, if he cannot stay here. Mary answers that she cannot do this, as her life in the Earth is over. |

|
| Mason says it was his fault, Mary answers it is not true. She adds that in the Heaven she got something that she did not have in the Earth - Peace. |

| Mary persuades him to go back and turn over a new leaf with Julia. She promises she always will be beside him. |
|
|
| They say good-bye to each other and Mason's soul goes back to the Earth. |
