Mason goes to Janice, she comforts him, and finally, they are kissing. | ||

Mary is very upset with what has happened and speaks to Mark about it. To her surprise, Mark defends Mason and says that he himself would have doubts in such situation. Mary answers that there is no confidence between Mason and her, so they have no common future. | ||

Mark asks if she trusts him, and Mary answers that she does, their conversation ends with the kiss.
Meantime Mason and Janice are in the bed. |

At the New Year eve Mason and Janice go to the New Year party arranged for Nick and Kelly. Mason gets drunk; Janice unsuccessfully tries to take him home. | ||

On January 1, 1986 Mason wakes up hung over and sees Janice beside. They talk, Janice reminds him how they have spent New Year together and recorded their wishes to the videocassette. Mason watches the beginning of the cassette and then throws it to the bin. Janice quietly takes it out and goes to take a shower. Immediately after this, Mary looks into the half opened door. Mason pretends to be very ill and works on her sympathies. Mary gives him a lecture about drink and then Janice comes from the bathroom. Mary wants to go away but Janice stops her and says she should watch the cassette that Mason has recorded at the New Year party. Mary goes away but returns later, seeing nobody in Mason's room. She takes the cassette and plays it. At the screen drunk Mason tells about his wishes for the coming year. He says he hopes Mary begin making faults to become equal to the others. At the very moment Mason comes into the room. He is angry with her, because she entered his room and watches the cassette but when he sees that she has not watched it up to the end, he offers doing this. Then Janice appears at the screen and reminds him that he is still in love with Mary. Mason agrees but says he does not understand how he can be, as Mary spits on him... Watching the cassette, Mary begins crying, Mason takes her in his arms. Meantime Mark sees the magazine with Janice as a photo model on its cover, and he recognizes his wife. Soon after that a man attacks Janice. |

He turns out to be the husband of a woman who was treated by Mark and who died out of his negligence. At first Mason, and then Mary learn that Janice is Mark's wife. | ||

Little by little, CC is coming to life. | ||

||
He gains strength and throws a pillow out of the bed. When Eden comes to the room, she sees the pillow on the floor and screams with fear. | ||
|
||
Hearing her scream, all the Capwells and Mary gathered. | ||

She says CC began breathing by himself. |
