In a couple of days Mary has a nightmare about trial-wedding of Mason and her, where Mark speaks about a child and a judge asks who her child's father is. |
In the dream Mary answers she does not know who the father is and the judge takes Р'В«a decision of SolomonР'В» - to divide the child between to possible fathers. |
Mary wakes up in horror and decides to run a pregnancy test while Mason is sleeping. |
Mason and Mary have a breakfast and enjoy the domestic bliss. |
However, Mary looks upset when Mason says that to make their happiness full, they need a couple of routy kids slipping their fingers in the syrup. |
Mason asks what is wrong in his words but Mary avoids answering. She says that he is a great lawyer, and Mason answers he will not be any more if he does not hurry. |
He goes to the shower and Mary checks the result of the test. It is positive, she is pregnant. |
The doorbell is ringing. She hides the test in her purse and goes to open the door. Mark is at the doorstep. |
He came to say that he is going to leave the town. Mary finds this decision to be reasonable but Mark says he does it for his own sake rather than for hers, as it is unbearable for him to see her with another man. |
Mason goes out of the shower and asks Mark what he is doing at his apartment. Mark says he is going abroad and came to say goodbye. Before leaving he says to Mason that Mary is a very fine and gentle person and asks not to destroy her. |
When the door behind Mark is shut, Mason asks Mary what he wanted here. Mary looks at her purse with the test and sees it is not closed. She answers he brought the keys of the guesthouse and left the address, while saying this, she puts the keys in the purse and closes it. |
Mason, doubting whether her answer is full, says he is glad in this case. Mary says it will be better for all of them and holds her purse. |
