Part 5
At last Laken is allowed to see Ted, they are holding each other and then talking. Ted says that the case depends on what Christie will say. He does not understand why she has done it to him and presumes that something is wrong with her mind, because when they were fighting for the bracelet she was talking nonsense. Suddenly Laked decides to talk to Christie. Ted is talking her out of it but she runs away from the room. |
Mary and Theda invited the psychologist from the crisis center, thinking that Christie needs a person who is not connected with her. |
They ask the psychologist to file a charge but she refuses. She says that Christie should make her own decision and it must be respected. She asks Christie to notify her if she decides to file a charge. |
Christie asks her to go away. Laken says she is sorry about what has happened to Christie but both of them know that Ted did not do it. Why does she accuse him? |
Seeing Mason near Christie's room, Steve is indignant. |
Mason says that he needs to know the sum of the bail and advises Steve to be more polite, as his behavior is not welcome in Santa-Barbara. |
Laken says to Christie that she knows the story with the bracelet. She thinks that Christie wants to have a revenge upon Ted, although they were so good to Christie. One of Christie's lovers must have lost control over himself, and now Christie blames Ted. |
Mary interrupts them and requires Laken to go away. Laken says she is sorry and goes away. Christie is crying and says that she is sorry too. |
Mason joins Laken in the hospital corridor and asks is she has learnt something new. Laken answers that now she knows even less than before, and Ted was right, she should not have come to Christie. |
Mary sits on the Christie's bed and begins comforting her. |
Christie asks if she can tell her something confidentially. |
Mary answers that she can, of course. Christie is about to tell something but Theda and Steve come to the room that moment. |
Steve asks Christie what she has decided, as he must give the answer about the bail. Christie remembers Steve threatening to do harm to Ted, and finally says that she decided to file a charge. Steve obviously feels relief. Theda is very glad and promises Christie that all her family will be with her. |
