In the morning Mason wakes Mary up with a kiss. She asks if he waked up long time ago, he answers he is still sleeping and dreaming.
Mary puts her "desert clothes" on and Mason takes her to have a breakfast to another tent, where Frida the Gypsy is playing the master.
Mason and Mary are having breakfast and tell each other about their love again and again.
They are listening to the opera and then return to the tent to make love again.
Then Mason helps Mary to mount the mule and takes her to the cliff to take a picture of hers.
Instead of the usual "cheese" he asks her to say "I love you".
Then he decides to set the camera so that it would take the picture automatically in order to take the picture of them both. They are joking and kissing.
In the evening Mason picks Mary up in his arms and brings her into the tent. They are kissing but suddenly Mary scowls and answers Mason's question that she is thinking about their returning to Santa-Barbara and that they have to come back to the real life. Mason answers that he is afraid of losing her and he won't let her return to Mark. That is why they won't go anywhere and they will stay here. May answers she can't.
