Sister Isabel comes to the Capwells and wants to say good-bye to Mary, as she returns to the convent. Not finding Mary, she asks Mason to pass her a note. Mason asks if she knows what has happened to Mary. Sister Isabel admits she knows but she cannot tell it to him. She just says Mary should take a very difficult decision for her.
Mason finds Mark at the Orient Express, the latter says to him that he has recovered and now everything is going to be all right between him and Mary. |

At the Orient Express Mark sees Mary with the case. She says to him she is going to stay at her friend's. | ||||
|
||||
Mark thanks her for saying nothing to Mason. Mary answers she said nothing not for his but for Mason's sake, as she presumes he could overreact and get into troubles. Mark becomes angry and denies it was a rape. He says he just slept with his wife. Mary says she did not want him and Mark does not deny it. He thanks her again but this time for his recovery. And suggests that they should start from the beginning and safe the family. Mary says he is crazy and goes away. | ||||

At the bar Mary speaks to her friend who turns out to be Sophia and thanks her for the opportunity to stay at her. | ||||

Mason approaches to Mary and asks why she is with the case. Mary says she has to leave for several days to think about her life and take a decision. Mason suggests going with her but Mary says he should not. Mason gives her Sister Isabel's note and asks if he can help her. Mary answers she should do everything by herself. She kisses him and goes away. | ||||

||||
By the trick Mason makes her return, having passed through the servant a message that the medical care is required. Mary unwillingly agrees to talk but she goes to call to the clinic. When she returns she sees a table served for two. Mary does not like it but she sits at the table. They argue because of the lunch, Mary accuses Mason of outtalking and speaking on the topic she does not want to discuss. Mason offers going to some remote place and although Mary is not up to do it, he take her to the mountains. There he declares his love again and again.
In the next day Mary has the lunch with Sophia at the Orient Express. Sophia says she saw Mark and did not know what she should have said to him about her. Mary refuses to say about the reasons of her break with Mark. |

Mason comes to the restaurant and sees Mary with Sophia. Mary tries to leave immediately but Mason stops her. Having been confirmed that Mary has stayed at Sophia's, he offers her having dinner together. At first Mary refuses but Mason persuades her, saying that otherwise he will have to explain to the court his missing the hearing because of his girlfriend's refusal to go to the restaurant with him. | ||||

Finally Mary agrees to go. Contented Mason smiles.
Mary and Sophia go to Lionel's yacht. They are speaking about CC and Sophia relationship, then they begin speaking about Mason and Mary. Mary confesses to Sophia that she has always loved Mason, although she has not realized it for long. Sophia says Mason never hid his affection towards Mary and she is glad because of them both. |

After the talking with Sophia, Mary goes to see Mason at the court. He says if she came to cancel the dinner they can have it any other time. | ||||
|
||||
But Mary says she want to say something. "I love you", Mary says. Mason is shining and holding her. | ||||
|
||||
Mary says she knows they need to talk and of course they will discuss everything. Mason reminds her that she has to explain everything to him and Mary admits it. Mason asks playfully if she knows that once she declared her love at the courthouse she cannot go back on it. Mary says she will not go back on it. They are kissing and then Mason asks what has happened to her and why she decided to come to him. Mary smiles, shrugs her shoulders and goes away. | ||||

Mary decided to tell Sophia about the rape; the latter becomes very indignant at Mark's evil-doing and offers Mary calling the police. But Mary does not want to do it, as well as she does not want to tell Mason about it. She thinks she had to resist better and in some degree it is she to blame. Sophia assures her passionately that she is wrong. |
