Cruz asks Christie again, but she repeats that it was Ted who raped her. Cruz leaves the room, Theda is comforting Christie. |

Cruz asks Maggie Gilles to bring Ted to the police station for interrogation. Eden asks Cruz about the situation. |
|
Cruz doesn't have time to answer, as Steve and Mary approach and Steve demands that Ted must be arrested. He threatens Eden, saying that the fact that Ted is a Capwell won't allow him to escape responsibility. |
|
Finally, Cruz says to Eden that Christie said that Ted was the rapist. Steve attacks Cruz for these words. |
|
Eden says indignantly that Christie lies and tries to enter her room. Steve pulls her in the hall. Cruz demands that Steve leave Eden alone. The latter leaves her alone and goes away. |
|
Steve enters Chtistie's room and threatens her face to face that Ted will have big problems if she changes her witness. |
|
Ted is arrested, Maggie Gilles tells him his rights. He is taken to the police station. |
|
CC tells Eden the good news that Kelly is found when the telephone rings. It's Ted. |
|
He says he is in the police station and asks to find Mason. CC wonders what Ted has done. "Are you in the car accident?" Ted answers unwillingly that he is accused of rape. CC says it is impossible. |
|
"Whom did you rape?"
"Nobody." Ted is deeply offended. |
|
|
"What the hell you are arrested?"
Ted is almost crying: "Forget, dad." |
|
Ted hangs up. He calls Laken: she says she hasn't found Mason yet. She promises to come to him and leave the message for Mason. |
|
Eden in indignant at the father's way to talk to Ted. Cruz comes and she asks him to explain CC why Ted is arrested. |
|
Cruz is surprised at Ted's arrest. He doesn't know why Ted was not just detained as he asked. He tells CC that Christies was raped and said that Ted was the rapist. CC says he will go to the police station immediately. |
|
Theda Basset is about to enter Christie's room but Mary stops her and asks the mother to treat Christie as tender as she can and not to blame her for what has happened. Theda answers that he can't do it another way. Mary asks whether she has drunk. Theda admits that she has a little. Mary asks her not to go to Christies for a while but the mother enters the room in spite of it. |

In the room she expressed her pity for Christie in a tearful voice, and says she has cautioned the daughter against dealing with such guys as Ted Capwell. Then she promises that Ted will pay for everything. Christies doesn't want to talk about it. Mary asks the mother to stop. Theda apologizes and says it was her fault in a way. |
|
Christie recalls Steve's raping her and threatening her after it. She says in a low voice that it is her fault and she deserves it. |
|
Mary rushed to comfort her. She says to Christie that it is all over and will never happen again. The mother and she, and… Steve will take care of her. Christie turns away and begins crying. Steve enters the room. |
|
Ted's arrest is registered at the police station. |
|
A policeman suggests that he should wash his hands after fingerprinting, but Steve interrupts and says that medical examination is necessary. |
|
CC comes to the police station. Laken says that she is sure that Ted is innocent, and he is treated here as if he were a criminal. CC promises to do everything he can for Ted. |
|
Ted has dressed after examination. Maggie Gilles enters the room, and says that CC has come. Ted refuses to see him. |
|
Steve is interrogating Ted. The latter unsuccessfully persuades him that he didn't rape Christie. |
|
Mason comes to the station. He argues with Steve. |
|
Then Steve goes away, and CC asks Mason about the bail. Mason answers it won't be low. CC is ready to pay any sum. Maggie enters and says that Ted doesn't want to see his father. CC and Mason are puzzled. |
|
Ted is on his own. He recalls the fight with Christies and is thinking why she did it to him. |
|
Mary and Theda are in the Christie's room. Theda feels herself guilty of Christie's escape from home because of her alcoholism. She asks Christie to give her one more chance. Just one. |
|
From now their lives are going to be wonderful: Christie will return home and everything will be different. Christie agrees passively. Theda promises she won't drink any more and asks Christie to forgive her. Christie forgives. |
|
This moment Steve with a woman drops in the room, a woman takes a picture of them and leaves. Mary asks who it was. Steve answers that it will help them to struggle against the Capwells, and Christie must file for a charge and not to give in. Christie turns away and is almost crying. |
