| Unfortunately, while Mason and Mary are speaking, Christie is being raped at the bar on the beach. Steve Basset, Mary's and Christies stepbrother (their stepfather's grown-up son), attacked Christie after he heard Christie quarrel with Ted and he understood that she liked that boy. |

| Steve leaves Christie at the corner of the bar and she stays there unconscious until morning. |
|
|
| Jade comes there in the morning, she opens the bar, as she works as a waitress. Mary comes and asks Jade about Christie. |
|
|
| She says she has not seen Christie today, and yesterday she saw her for several minutes. She does not know why Christie has left the Capwells. |
|
|
| Jade is sure that Christie is all right and she will appear soon. Mary goes across the bar to a musical machine and finds injured Christie. |
|
|
| She takes the initiative immediately and asks Jade to call the ambulance and bring the blanket, because Christie is shocked. Mary is indignant with the policeman's remark about Christie's provocative look. Fortunately, Maggie Giles helps her. |

| Mary and Jade look paramedics work. |

| This moment Steve appears and holds Mary. |

| Christie is taken to the hospital. |

| The doctor says he cannot estimate properly Christie's condition while she is unconscious. He asks Mary to leave the room. |

| Cruz is informed about the accident. Eden and he come to the hospital. Maggie tells them all that she knows. Christies mother, Theda Basset, comes to the hospital. She is horrified. |

| Christie is said to recover consciousness. Steve rushes to the room; Theda and Cruz follow him. |
|
|
| Christie speaks Ted's name. Mary is sitting at her bedside and asks if it has been Ted Capwell? Her mother guesses that Ted has raped her. |

| Christies keeps on repeating: Ted, Ted, Ted. Cruz takes a sit at her bedside and asks if she knows who did it. Mary corrects the question by asking if it was Ted Capwell. Cruz asks her not to help Christie. |
|
|
| Christie is recovering consciousness. She sees her sister. Her mother here, and Steve next to her. |
|
|
| Cruz asks again who did it. Christie looks at Steve and finally answers that it was Ted. Steve obviously breathes easily. |
