Having made sure that Mark broke his promise and moved Mary to tears again, Mason finds Mary in the gazebo and "accidentally" tells her that Mark has picked up a prostitute. He unsuccessfully tries to learn from Mary what is really going on between her and Mark. | ||||

Mark and Mary are quarrelling again. Mark confesses he has picked up a prostitute because he failed with her. He tries not to lose his face and convinces Mary that it is all little things.
Later he invites Mary to the restaurant again. He is drinking, trying to have fun. Mason watches them, hinting to Mark that he is ready to help Mary any time. |
